The Department of Sociology at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin Fall 2015. Area of specialization is open, but the applicant will be expected to contribute to one or more of the core strengths of the department in social inequality, population studies, and global social change. Duties include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, publication, and service to the department, college, and university. Applicants should at a minimum have a PhD in hand or expected by August 2015, demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, and have a clearly defined research agenda.

The Management and Organizations Department of the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University is recruiting for tenure-track faculty positions. The department invites applications from candidates with advanced degrees in organizational behavior, management, strategy, sociology, psychology, and related fields relevant to the study of individuals and groups in organizations. Primary criteria will be excellent recommendations, superior teaching capabilities, and outstanding research potential. The ILR Review is calling for papers for a conference and subsequent special issue devoted to identifying and developing organizational practices and processes that affect workplace inequality, diversity, and inclusion. We seek innovative research that will advance our understanding of the organizational arrangements that help reduce the effects of bias and promote diverse and inclusive workplaces. Emilio J. Castilla (MIT) and Pamela S. Tolbert (ILR) will be the guest editors of the issue.

This Fall, the Brown University Sociology Department will be recruiting for a tenure track position in Organizational Sociology, at the Assistant Professor level. We’ve defined our search as broadly as possible, and we’d welcome applicants from any field in the general domain of Organizational Sociology, Economic Sociology, Work and Occupations, and Organizational Theory. We’re particularly interested in candidates who can build on our department’s strengths in development, environment, health, urban studies, demography, and spatial analysis, or who can connect in interesting ways with Brown’s interdisciplinary activities in entrepreneurship, innovation, international studies, and healthcare.
