The University of North Texas Department of Sociology invites applications for two faculty positions. Both positions are 9-month appointments with 2-2 course loads beginning September 1, 2020.
The first position is at the Assistant Professor rank, with a preference for a scholar specializing in race and ethnicity. The second position is at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, with area of specialization open. Successful candidates should have strong records of scholarship and a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels. A PhD in sociology is required, although highly qualified ABD candidates will be considered. Salary and benefits are competitive.
