International Labour Process Conference CfP – King’s College London, 7-9 April 2014

The 2014 International Labour Process Conference will return to Europe after another remarkable success at Rutgers University this year. The event will take place between 7-9th April 2014, hosted by the Department of Management at King’s College London.

The deadline for submissions of abstracts and proposals for symposia is three weeks from today (31st October 2013).

For the general stream, we welcome papers on any topic on work and employment relations in the broader political economic and social context. In addition, we have the following five Special Streams to which papers may be submitted:

Professional Work: Digital Technologies and New Managerial Practices

Reconceptualising Employability through a Labour Process Lens

The Missing Manager: Management through a Labour Process Lens

Occupational segregation in the global economy: An examination of its impacts across gender, ethnicity and immigration

Workplace regimes and worker struggles in developing countries
